Mr lttinant Suwanjutha

Ittinant is a key figure in Thailand’s high-value real estate and construction space and is a go-to resource for businesses and investors working at the top end of the country’s markets. He is also a corporate and commercial and banking and finance legal specialist.

Ittinant has been practicing law for nearly 25 years and assists international real estate and asset management companies with business structures, licensing and operations in Thailand. He also advises foreign investors and major real estate developers and energy companies on negotiating, structuring and closing sales, joint ventures and M&A.

Lately he has been advising on the development and construction of property in Thailand (and its subsequent leasing and operation) post-Covid and assisting with various hotel/leisure and mixed-use property developments in the south of the country. He has also been overseeing intensive corporate and land due diligence investigations into high-value real estate in Thailand’s burgeoning renewable energy industry.

Mr Anuwat Ngamprasertkul

Anuwat leads several of the firm’s legal practices including setting up compliance measures with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), legal entity and tax structuring as well as business restructuring and reorganisation. He advises on M&A and commercial transactions and on fundraising, family business and related issues, and human resources legal management.

Anuwat has been practicing law for nearly 20 years and oversees the firm’s litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration department, focusing on claims and defences in white-collar crime, bankruptcy, and labour and taxation cases. He also advises on shareholder disputes and consumer protection and international trade case matters. He represents Thai and foreign parties in the civil and criminal courts and is adept at minimising clients’ legal exposure and at developing strategies for crisis management, reaching clients’ end goals smoothly and efficiently.
 
Previously, Anuwat was a director at a Big Four audit firm, heading up its litigation team. For 16 years he advised international clients on a wide range of legal and tax matters related to setting up, restructuring, and maintaining business operations and compliance in Thailand.
 
Anuwat is highlighted as a Litigation Star in the Thai legal space by Benchmark Litigation, an international publication that ranks the world’s leading litigation firms and lawyers. He is also a Legal 500 recommended lawyer. He is a member of the Law Society of Thailand and the Thai Bar Association, as well as a panellist at both the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) and the Thai Arbitration Center (THAC). He is also an advisory board member of the Faculty of Laws, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), and an active member of the Association of Family Business Entrepreneurs (AFBE), Thailand. Anuwat has appeared on national television on Thai PBS, Thailand’s public broadcasting service, expounding on such issues as knowing the law before living as a couple (for both males/females and members of the LGBTQ+ community), fraud prevention measures for Thai senior citizens, fundamentals of copyright law, and other business-related issues. Anuwat has gained a significant online following, posting up-to-date law-related news and clarifying legal complexities to non-lawyers in an easily accessible style. Ms Siripen Kulworakulpitak

Siripen has been practicing law for more than 18 years and is a key contact point for prestigious Thai and foreign clients regarding their corporate legal affairs in Thailand. She is a formidable negotiator and works across all industries and sectors to secure her clients’ interests in the country. She is a well-known figure in Bangkok’s community of high-end corporate lawyers and remains one of the few female founding partners of a law firm here, in what is traditionally an extremely male-dominated profession.

Siripen is regularly tasked with advising on cross-border commercial projects and the legal management of international business deals and infrastructure projects, and on promotions offered by Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI). She advises and assists Thai and foreign business leaders and investors on establishing operations in the country with organisational structures to suit specific needs and on risk management when operating in its stringent regulatory frameworks. She routinely assists with the legal management of everyday corporate and commercial concerns including preparing and reviewing airtight contracts and agreements, directors’ duties and liabilities, shareholders’ rights, governance and regulatory matters, and legal due diligence processes.

Senior Associates

Mr Chumphon Macharoen

Chumphon is head of the firm’s litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration department. He has been practicing law for nearly 18 years.

He handles all types of litigation, managing cases from initial contact through to settlement and through mediation and trial. He is highly practiced at developing successful trial strategies and at gathering and applying evidence swiftly and effectively. His versatility and legal knowledge and experience are a hallmark of the practice.

Chumphon has an LL.B. from Thailand’s Ramkhamhaeng University and is a member of both the Lawyers Council of Thailand and the Thai Bar Association. He is also a qualified Notarial Services Attorney.

Immediately prior to joining IAS Advisory, Chumphon was a senior litigator at another leading international law firm based in Bangkok, and prior to this he worked in the litigation division of a German law firm serving German and other European companies that operate in Thailand via subsidiaries and offices.

Chumphon has wide-ranging expertise across the litigation space, specialising in labour, international trade, bankruptcy, and business reorganisation.

Mr Supachot Prasankiattiraj

Supachot is a senior associate and notable member of the firm’s real estate, corporate and commercial/M&A, and litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration departments. He is also one of the firm’s personal data protection and privacy leaders. He advises on wide-ranging transactional matters and assists with high-value real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings. He is adept at resolving unique land title and survey issues.

Supachot is one of Thailand’s best young lawyers according to Asian Legal Business (ALB), a specialist Thomson Reuters title focussing on the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. He was chosen for ALB Thailand Rising Stars 2023, which spotlights the next generation of the country’s lawyers. The list showcases 30 lawyers under the age of 40 who are performing first-class work and, in the process, earning accolades from clients and senior legal industry colleagues.

Supachot has an LL.B. from Thailand’s renowned Thammasat University and is a member of both the Lawyers Council of Thailand and the Thai Bar Association. He is also a qualified Thai Arbitration Center (THAC) mediator.

For five years Supachot was a legal manager at one of the world’s top legal and tax advisory firms, specialising in real estate, corporate/M&A, dispute resolution and litigation, PDPA compliance, and labour and employment matters. As part of his ongoing real estate brief, he carried out in-depth due diligence inquiries and advised on projects across Thailand for a well-known European multinational sporting goods retailer. Immediately prior to joining IAS Advisory, Supachot was a senior associate at another leading international law firm based in Bangkok.

Ms Sukontharat Nobnom

Sukontharat is a senior associate and key member of the firm’s corporate and commercial/M&A, real estate, and data privacy and personal data protection practices. She is central to the smooth running of the firm’s daily legal operations.

She is accustomed to managing large, high-spec client accounts to hit targeted budgets and to maintaining and strengthening the firm’s long-term business and legal partnerships. She has extensive experience advising on regulatory licensing requirements for foreign business operations in Thailand and on compliance with Thailand’s comprehensive Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Sukontharat has an LL.B. from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University and studied at Hiroshima University in Japan on a prestigious Jasso Scholarship. She is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

For eight years she was a legal manager at one of the world’s biggest legal and tax advisory firms and counsel to multinational corporations regarding commercial contracts, M&A projects, corporate structuring, and foreign direct investment.

Ms Tamonwan Phansaiy

Tamonwan has been practicing law for more than seven years and is an associate in our litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration practice. She is a key resource for contract management, providing advice across the entire process from initial negotiations to drafting, revisions and review.

She advises on bankruptcy and business reorganization, consumer protection and international trade case matters, as well as employment protection legislation and intellectual property. She also advises on family matters including succession and estate division.

Tamonwan has experience advising and representing both local and multinational clients in a broad range of disputes covering commercial, construction and employment, as well as in alternative dispute resolution matters (including mediation) and corporate litigation.

She works diligently with each client to deliver a favourable outcome. She advises and assists in mediation sessions at court and has been successful in reaching settlement agreements for full payment of outstanding debts.

She graduated with an LL.B. from Thammasat University and is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. She is also a qualified Notarial Services Attorney.

Mr Piniti Chomsavas

Piniti has been practicing law for seven years and is an associate in our corporate and commercial/M&A, litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration, employment management, and data privacy and personal data protection practices.

He has legal experience in public-private partnership (PPP) projects, M&A, due diligence investigations, contract drafting and labour and employment advisory matters, as well as Tech-Media-Telecoms (TMT). He has represented clients in court in civil and criminal cases and assisted with advising commercial banks, insurance companies, as well as courier service providers in personal data protection matters.

Previously, Piniti worked for five years as a legal manager at a Big Four firm, working across the organisation in a wide-ranging legal and tax consulting role.

He has an LL.B. from Thailand’s prestigious Chulalongkorn University and is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. He is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), having gained its Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) qualification. IAPP is the world’s largest and most revered information privacy organisation, and its CIPP credential is the industry standard for privacy experts worldwide.

Ms Rujirat Siriwattananukul

Rujirat works mainly out of our litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration department but also assists our corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions, and data privacy and personal data protection teams.

She has been practicing law for over four years and has already developed broad industry sector expertise. She has advised on matters related to aviation, cybersecurity, employment, energy, hospitality, insurance, labour, renewables, and telecommunications.

She has represented domestic and foreign clients in various kinds of dispute involving defamation, family, labour, real estate, and other civil and criminal matters. She has assisted with drafting privacy notices and policies and with in-house Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) training for client organisations.

Rujirat has an LL.B. from Thammasat University and is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

Immediately prior to joining IAS Advisory, she was an associate at another leading international law firm based in Bangkok.

Mr Tataraj Indrasukhsri

Tataraj is part of our banking and finance, real estate, and corporate and commercial teams. He also assists with capital markets and corporate finance matters and has previous experience as a trader on the Thai stock market.

Tataraj’s responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, assisting with corporate and land due diligence investigations, corporate registration proceedings, and advising on regulatory compliance.

He assists in the provision of legal services to both domestic and international clients across a broad range of industries, including financial services, FinTech, AI and technology, digital assets, renewable energy, hospitality and entertainment, pharmaceuticals, telemedicine, and consumer goods.

Tataraj has an LL.B. from Thammasat University and an LL.M. from Chulalongkorn University. He is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

Mr Chanin Tinnakorn

Chanin supports our real estate, corporate and commercial, and litigation, dispute resolution and arbitration departments. He also advises on Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

He conducts comprehensive legal research as a matter of routine and prepares precise legal briefs and memos for senior lawyers for the purposes of case preparation and private consultations with clients.

Chanin works on land due diligence investigations, attends property inspections, reviews zoning regulations, and supports environmental impact assessments on target properties to ensure full compliance with Thai regulations. He runs land title searches and drafts and reviews leases and sale and purchase agreements.

His other responsibilities include handling company registration processes, analysing and summarising complex legal documents, and liaising and collaborating with governmental bodies to facilitate smooth project progression.

Chanin has an LL.B. from Thammasat University and is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
