MEDIA: protecting heirs from complications when making a will

When a loved one passes away, their estate is divided and distributed among the deceased’s heirs, typically children and grandchildren. Frequently, however, disputes arise due to the absence of a valid will or the existence of an unclear or ambiguous testament.

To prevent problems in future, it is essential to understand the legal procedures involved in drafting a will, the various types of will recognised by law, and the requirements necessary to ensure that the will is valid and enforceable.

Join the discussion with IAS Advisory co-founder Mr Anuwat Ngamprasertkul in an episode of the popular evening TV programme Home Economy, hosted by veteran news anchor, reporter and journalist Dr Wit Sittivaekin.

IAS Advisory proud to be main sponsor of “Law Chula Fest” for 2nd year

The firm was honoured to be the main sponsor of Chulalongkorn University’s celebrated “Law Chula Fest” for the second year running.

“Law Chula Fest,” organised by members of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Law, is held each year and brings together academics, legal professionals, students, and members of the community to raise awareness of the importance of legal education, disseminate knowledge, and generate public engagement with the Faculty.

This year’s festival, which took place on Saturday 25th October, was particularly special, being held as a tribute to the benevolence and leadership of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, whose support for education and charitable causes still inspires so many.

Attendees engaged in a variety of activities throughout the day, including debates, exhibitions, friendly competitions, mock moot courts, presentations, Q&A sessions, role-plays, and more. There was also guidance and other simulated classroom activities to help show prospective students what studying at Chula’s prestigious Faculty of Law is like.

“Law Chula Fest 2025” aimed not only to honour His Majesty’s generosity, but also to serve as an educational platform and enhance public understanding of the function of law in society and the individual’s rights and responsibilities within it.

We are proud to support such a meaningful initiative, and extend our sincere gratitude to the whole team at Chula for their dedication, meticulous planning, and execution in ensuring the success of this important event. We look forward to continuing our partnership and to supporting similar endeavours that inspire learning, innovation, and community engagement.
